About Felicity

I  grew up on the southern end of the Gold Coast, with some time spent living in Sydney and Brisbane. After graduating high school, I was accepted into QUT to study a Bachelor of Science however after two years of studying I decided, as much as I love science, it wasn’t the degree for me.

I soon found employment in the real estate industry, working my way up from administration to become a property manager. Working with clients to lease their properties, I noticed the importance of a well-planned area to improve the chances of a property being leased. Combining this interest with my passion for learning, I enrolled and was accepted into the Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus.

I excelled at university, receiving a number of academic awards and being chosen to participate in a two week study tour of Hong Kong. I also had the opportunity taken part in a number of voluntary events, including as an Open Day Ambassador and Peer Mentor. I have recently completed my Honours thesis on the representation of women in planning and the impacts this has on gendered spaces.

In my spare time, I play competitive softball, enjoy reading, and travelling (especially to Japan). I am aiming to have a career in planning that is challenging and aligns with my vision for inclusive and sustainable communities.
